Artistic Director, Chloe Xtina, Featured in Margins Magazine with an Essay on Bazp and Generation Z's Role in the theatre revolution
We were taking on new things, as if an independent, youth run theatre company wasn’t taking on enough new things already! The Ten Minute Play Festival would be comfortably, inventively small scale- a mode of theatre that I’ve always had deep respect for and felt was overlooked as “amateur.” But amateur is what Bay Area Zeta Players still technically is, and my love for Bay Area Zeta Players bleeds into my love of the beauty and rawness of amateur theatre.
The spring of my sophomore year I was worried. I’d been active in drama every summer since second grade, but my usual theatre company suddenly scrapped their teen program. Luckily, a friend introduced me to Chloe, a high school student at a nearby arts school who had created a student-run theatre company called Nerdology Musical Theatre.
